Fluffy Butter Frosting

Meringue

  • 1 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 4 tsp meringue powder
  • 1/4 cup water
  1. Sift together confectioner's sugar and meringue powder.
  2. Stir in water to make a paste.
  3. Whip until fluffy, about 5 minutes.

Buttercream

  • 4 oz unsalted butter, at cool room temperature
  • 1 cup confectioner's sugar
  1. Cream together the butter and sugar.
  2. Beat until fluffy, about 5 minutes.
  1. Fold together the two mixtures gently until evenly mixed.

Storage Instructions

Store airtight in the refrigerator up to 2 days. Freeze for longer storage. Bring to room temperature before using.
